HIBISCUS SABDARIFFA, A COLOURFUL SWEETNESS
Hibiscus is a perennial plant in the Malvaceae family. Hibiscus sabdariffa, in particular, is native to West Africa. Hibiscus sabdariffa is often used for its medicinal properties and as an infusion, and is also used for its cosmetic qualities.
Rich in anthocyanins (which are powerful antioxidants and colouring agents), vitamin C, AHA organic acids, sugars (moisturising and softening) and mucilage, it is an active ingredient that deserves to be more widely known.
ANTHOCYANINS, ALLIES FOR THE SKIN :
These are the molecules that give colour to flowers and fruit in nature. But they are also, and above all, highly sought-after antioxidants. An antioxidant is capable of capturing the free radicals resulting from oxidative stress and neutralising them. Hibiscus therefore helps to combat premature skin ageing.
And the fruit acids found in this plant stimulate collagen production.
Hibiscus is also said to have properties that limit inflammation and help the healing process.
WHAT DOES HIBISCUS SABDARIFFA CONTRIBUTE TO ROSE CLEANSER ?
Hibiscus has a gentle fragrance and its properties give our Rose Cleanser treatment the potential to combat oxidative stress. This active ingredient is a very strong point and adds a touch of softness while soothing redness and inflammation.
